The Secret

The book "the secret" by Rhonda Byrne is really great.

I can still remember the day before the preliminary exams, sir paking (dunno if this spelling is right) introduced as to this great book, through his sharing of the book, specially about quantum physics and a lot more I immediately bought the book. Shining in its hardbound cover, the books smooth pages, the sterling designs of each of it's pages is simply too worth it to buy for just an amount nearly 700, after reading the book i downloaded the whole movie although it's content is alike with the book, but by hearing the speakers themselves speak of the secret is far better than just reading it.

After reading and watching The Secret I finally realized the real problem with me. It was all because of my mind, always speaking to the soul that the course is difficult. i remembered when i was still in high school, i don't study after school but still I am getting high grades, but now in college, i am studying full time yet i am not achieving my goals. The Law of attraction is taking effect on me.

according to the Law of attraction, like attracts like. we are like magnets, what we visualize is what we get. Straight in the bull's eye I was shot off-guard, i finally realized that i am actually getting unsatisfactory (not failing) marks all because of the mentality that college studies is difficult. it's just like when i was in high school, i don't even bother to open the book, but my mind is believing that I would still get high grades.

And there are still more occurrences wherein the law of attraction takes effect. thanks to sir paking, for without him I would not have known that great book.

Baked Mac

Just to update my blog so that it would not be like before, I would just like to write about the great tasting baked mac at our building's second floor. Before, the vendor was known for his famous CHEESEburger, wherein the cheese's flavor overwhelmed the burger patty, really delicious, although it's price is not so friendly-20 pesos EACH (not buy 1 take one) but compared to the "hot-flamin burger" below our building, where a burger's worth 2 piece chicken value meal at fast food chains.

Now, actually since The first Monday of January, they were already selling the newly introduced baked mac as well as sotanghon, but just looking at the sotanghon it just doesn't fit my wants. But the overflowing cheese over the macaronis, it is simply haven for pasta lovers.

Hehe, just an update to my blog.

Who is Changing?

Today I went to CKSC after planning for our video presentation for environmental science. And today, i enjoyed the part where I met with old friends but I also seem to realize something in between me and my friends.

I have my bunch of friends, where I give priority to them before anybody else. But this day I am starting to feel startled at how things are changing. It's just a few months since graduation, and now the way we communicate seems to change. I remembered when Tina told me that we are all getting matured but just we don't seem to feel.

Is the situation now a maturation of me? or of my friends? Or is it my sensitivity that makes me think like that?

Friends on top, family on the second. I have given the highest priority to my friends, breaking apart seems too hard to accept, it seems like a falling investment, an interest not accrued, and receiving a bouncing check.

Let life be it, c'est la vie.

Adult Leaders Troop Meeting

Today the adult leaders of the Chiang Kai Shek College held a meeting for an almost 3 hours period. It was all about planning, planning, and planning.

It is truly tiresome, specially yesterday night when I'm asking for my parents consent for allowing me to attend today's meeting. At first I was shot by the pellets released by the machine gun, but suddenly it was already a cannon ball that was shot on to me, but still till midnight SHE allowed me to go. (Note from the machine gun to the cannon ball time, it was about 3 hours. Be noted that I still have classes today.) Is this sacrifice really worthy? sometimes I doubt.

But still scouting has turned into a passion. At first it was only a way to escape physical education and music classes, then it turned into a class reunion, and now it is turning into a part of my routine, a hobby, a habit.

To sacrifice for scouting seemed to me worthy. Firstly, my friends (Hope they are forever true) are there. Second, I loved to see my members (they are the members which I handled before I graduated) grow. Third, it is a great escape from the house. And of course, I joined because I loved scouting because it is "Where men grows strong" (according to the Tondo scouting logo) and also I enjoyed my passion to lead, to teach to lead, to see the lead, and to view it's strength (It survived for already a hundred years).

My title seems not fitting the content, but to write on the content of the meeting per se is definitely not allowed to be posted. But of course when time comes it would be posted.

Freakonomics Bookplate

Yahoo!

It was so much fun to receive my long awaited bookplate from the freakonomics authors, it was a sticker signed by the 2 authors freakonomics namely Stephen Dubner and Steven Levitt. And the good thing about this bookplate was that it was free, even the postage was free, everything was paid by the publishing house.

I really hope that all my books would be signed by their respective authors. Since my birthday's getting near, this bookplate is already a great gift for me. But still, reminder to all who visited my blog, DON'T FORGET MY GIFT! wahaha, joke only.
